69~Stranger in Paradise

LIFE APPLICATION

~With all their wealth and power (they were in the “Parliament,” the “Congress” of their nation), Joseph and Nicodemus were unable to stop a terrible thing from happening. Think of something bad that happened in your life which you did not have enough power to stop. What was it? Would it help to compare its importance with eternity with God?

~Though they were unwilling and probably also unable to stop the crucifixion, they did what they could afterward to try to make up for their weaknesses: They added dignity and placed Jesus’ body in a fine grave. (Normally, bodies were left on crosses to rot.) Regarding the first question above, what will you do to add dignity to the aftermath of your bad experience?
